WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS FROM
Trilokesh Exports
Natural diamonds are formed deep below the earth over billions of years. They are mined under dangerous conditions leading to human suffering, loss of lives and environmental destruction. Thanks to technological innovation, now diamonds can be created in a laboratory.
Also known as Above-the-Ground diamonds, Lab-grown diamonds possess the same chemical, optical, thermal, atomic and visual properties and structure as mined diamonds. This is a revolution in the diamond industry as it is human friendly, eco-friendly and cost-effective.
Trilokesh Exports is a specialist in Lab-Grown Diamonds. We have collaborated with the world’s largest producers of HPHT Type II Lab-grown rough diamonds. Driven by a passion to deliver the best diamonds from the Lab to the Consumer, Trilokesh offers a vast range of exclusive diamond jewellery designs.
The Process Video
1. SOW THE SEED
The HPHT process begins with a tiny diamond fragment, known as a seed crystal. This is placed in a cell inside a press, together with a metal catalyst, such as Nickel or Iron. A block of pure carbon, sits on top.
2. APPLY PRESSURE
The press heats the cell to a searingly high temperature, up to 1600 degree C. It then uses metal anvils to apply intense pressure. The pressure and temperature need to be high enough to melt the metal catalyst.
3. ATOMS ACCUMULATE
The molten metal carries carbon atoms from the graphite to the seed crystal. The carbon atoms slowly build up around the crystal, to give the multi-sided structures that we know so well.
4. CUT AND POLISH
After the rough diamond crystal has cooled, it’s ready to be cut and polished, just like natures finest piece of art. It can then be graded for quality, shape, cut, color, carat, and clarity.
